South West Coast Path - Pre-Walk - July 6th 2015

We left London this morning via train and after 4 hours arrived at Bodmin Station. We were picked up and driven to the pretty village of Port Isaac, where we checked into our accommodationfor the evening – The Terrace Tea Rooms and B&B. Our room has a lovely sea view, but we need to keep an eye out for the slanted ceilingsBeverley and Steve served us our cream tea and then we took off for a walk northwards along the SWCP to be able to get a view of the village. Port Isaac is the film location for the British TV show “Doc Marten”(which we must admit we don’t know) and many people come to visit this seaside village for that reason. It rained here earlier today but by the time we arrived it had stopped.  We can’t wait to head off in the morning. We are headed for the Port Gaverne Hotel Restaurant about a half mile away for an early dinner.
